Most parents, and even most teachers, had unpleasant experiences with mathematics in school and subsequently are not sure how to bring joy to the subject for their students.
Math circles consist of a group of curious learners solving open-ended problems related to mathematical concepts. They are, first and foremost, fun, and allow students to engage with the subject in an anxiety-free way that helps build up their love for the subject.
Each 45 minute session consists of an open ended problem for students to work on together, followed by a craft or building activity that allows students to explore mathematics hands-on.
