Intro to Creative Writing, adults

How do writers turn memories into stories? How do we use sensory details, concrete language, and strong images to create a believable world? What makes writing fresh and original, rather than stale and clichéd? How can we show rather than tell? How can less sometimes be more? In this workshop, you will learn techniques to make your writing more powerful. We’ll look at models that inspire us, and write in response to prompts that generate sparks for stories and poems.
