Designed for working families trying to find affordable, quality after school options without over-scheduling or paying for classes when all that’s needed is some downtime, we host 1st - 5th graders in our homey, 1,800 sq foot kid-friendly space with private backyard.
We have no agenda for our Lively Village kids, they are free to do what they want while they pass the time. Kids can sit and read in our library, knit, sew or craft in our art room, run around in our backyard, play collaborative board games, take a nap, have a snack, work on homework, make new friends or pursue other interests.
Despite our Astrid Lindgren-inspired name, there are plenty of quiet spots in the Lively Village. We give younger kids their own dedicated space, keep age-appropriate ratios and have awesome caregivers on hand ready to dive into whatever the kids decide to do each day. Our space is across the street from Maria Hernandez park and, with guardian consent, we're happy to take small groups of kids there for even more freedom of movement.
This class is commitment-free, there are no membership fees, no schedules to adhere to. Sign up for the days you need, and the hours that fit your schedule. And best of all, our class is pay-what-you-can from our tiered pricing plan. Tell us when you need to attend the class and we’ll work with families to get to a price point that serves everyone’s needs.
Group after school pick up from North Brooklyn schools can be arranged and we encourage families to check out our amazing after school classes in addition to our Lively Village class.
