Writing Time and Place (adults)

Writing Time and Place

Our favorite television shows, films, plays and podcasts began in writer's rooms. This course introduces strategies for writing content that is meant to be performed, whether on stage or on screen.

Through writing exercises, guest speakers, readings, creative assignments, and in-class discussions, each participant will awaken their own unique creative writing process. We will probe the structural forms, interrogate current models for writing dialogue, and make our own original content.

The class will culminate in a voluntary public reading of student projects generated during the course.

Presented by Sam Schanwald
